How Meditation helps Behavior

1. Importance of Meditation

  • What is Meditation?

“Meditative” and “action” are the two words to follow.

By the dictionary, this means, “the action or practice of meditating; a written or spoken discourse expressing considered thoughts. Synonym-contemplation, thought, thinking, musing, pondering, consideration, reflection”.

Basically, in other words, is the act of thinking, the act of contemplation, the act of reflection, the act of seeing the entire of you.

Through the content, I will explain how this works.


Alright, let’s try to see this way. I give one example. I ask you to Believe and think, that you would like to build your muscle, get it stronger. What would you do it? Maybe, you will make an appointment to start workout in the gym, go to some group exercises classes, trying to get more healthy food, etc. You will focus your attention and your time, on the way to get your goal. The same is happening in your life, with your feelings, and with your thoughts. Keep with me. You will be surprised.

The THOUGHT is the expression of BELIEF. The EXPERIENCE is the expression of the thought.

Our EXPERIENCE tell us who we are. Our THOUGHTS tell us who we are. What we BELIEVE tell us who we are. I am what my mind is.

  • What is the mind?

Now, we are going to try to understand how the mind works.

Dr. Bruce Lipton, a cellular biologist says “The problem is that the positive thoughts come from the conscious mind, and this one, works 5% of the day. Now, the subconscious mind is working 95% of the day. So we do have a life where 5% of the day we have positive thoughts. I already explain what the meditation is and how the mind works, now let’s do this equation. If I meditate my mind, I’m learning how to relearning (re-learning) my beliefs, and rethink (re-think) my thoughts.

2. Behavior

Following the dictionary definition of behavior: “The way a person behaves or acts; conduct; manners; an organism’s responses to stimulation or environment, esp. those responses that can be observed; an instance of behavior; specif., one of a recurring or characteristic pattern of observable actions or responses; the way a machine, element, etc. acts or functions”

My behavior is connected to my beliefs and beliefs are thoughts that we have been continuosly repeating in our mind.  The path to a happier life is to make positive beliefs.

Positive thoughts, Positive beliefs, Positive behavior, Positive life.

3. Meditation and Behavior

Since I was young, I´m a restless and impatient person.

Meditation and mindful exercises have been helping me to receive positive thoughts. My mom teached me since young to breath with intention and I´ll never forget how I calm down with that. with that simpe exercise.

Colouring, drawing , arts and mindful activities/games have been helping to stop thinking, to stop on that negative and thoughts repetiton, and keep focus in what I´m doing and enjoying it.

When I do meditate I am opening to receive positive energy. I am focus to concentration all myself on peace of mind and positive thoughts. When I do meditate, I heal my mind from negative and unhappy thoughts to positive ones.  With meditation I do have positivefeelings. That positive emotion, brings me positivethoughts.
